The Adams County woman who was attacked in a violent home invasion last December, has died from her injuries. The York County Coroner’s Office reports that 79-year old Barbara Laughman of Berwick Township was taken to the hospital in critical condition after the attack. Her death has been ruled a homicide. The suspect, David Shaffer, had forced his way into the home. Laughman’s husband shot and killed Shaffer.
