An Ephrata woman has been charged following a traffic accident last fall that left a pedestrian dead. Police say 47-year-old Lori Kempisty was behind the wheel of a van when it hit 69-year-old Judith Breger also of Ephrata. It happened last October along North State Street at the intersection of Pine Street. Kempisty has been charged with careless driving resulting in unintentional death.
