The average price of gas continues to rise in Pennsylvania this week and now the AAA says its over $5 for the first time ever. The Triple-A says its $5.03 a gallon, just a month ago, the average was $4.50 − a year ago, it was $3.17. For more perspective, the price of oil peaked earlier this year in March at $123 a barrel and the national average price of gasoline was $4.07 a gallon. On Wednesday, oil hit just under $122 a barrel while the national average price of gasoline hit $4.96 a gallon.
