Lancaster Co. Father Sentenced In Baby Death

The father of a 4-month-old baby who drowned in a bathtub in Lancaster County a year ago has pleaded guilty to third-degree murder. The District Attorney’s Office says 27-year-old David Meadows of Ronks was arrested after the child was left unattended in the bathtub with the water running in May 2021 at the Roadway Inn on Lincoln Highway East in Paradise. The plea also included a prison sentence of 7-to-14 years. The term is the same as the co-defendant and mother of the baby, Amy Manning, received in April.
