The cost of electricity in PA is headed higher. PPL Electric says the default rate for electricity will go up starting June 1st to nearly 12.366 cents per kilowatt hour. The average customer using about 1-thousand kilowatt hours a month would see their monthly bill go up by about 34-dollars.
