A Columbia man is waiting to be sentenced after a jury this week found him guilty of charges from a fatal drug overdose. The District Attorney’s Office says 47-year-old Jeffrey Shackelford was convicted of drug delivery resulting in death, among many other related offenses in the April-2021 fatal overdose of 23-year-old Carrie Hamilton. Shackelford was arrested last summer after the Lancaster County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at his home found various amounts of illegal drugs, packaging material, digital scales and just over $8,200 in cash.
