A Lebanon County woman was sentenced to life in prison after being convicted of starving, torturing, and killing a 12-year old boy in 2020. Officials say there is no possibility of parole for 37-year old Kimberly Mauer. Her co-conspirator Scott Schollenberger is also serving the same sentence. The couple were convicted for abusing and neglecting Max Schollenberger so severely he died emaciated in a 2nd floor bedroom that he was almost never allowed to leave.
