A York man has pleaded guilty to aggravated assault for acting as an accomplice in the deadly shooting of Dover Area High School senior. The York Daily Record reports that 23-year-old Sterling Frantz started a chain of events that led to the death of 17-year-old Emily Shoemaker in December of 2019. It happened along the 400-block West College Avenue after Shoemaker and some friends robbed a lower-level drug dealer. Frantz cooperated with prosecutors in the case against the actual shooter. A York County jury convicted 20-year-old DaiQuan Dickerson of Red Lion of pulling the trigger. Dickerson faces mandatory life in prison without the possibility of parole when he is formally sentenced next week. Frantz will learn his punishment next month.
