York-area Congressman Scott Perry is one of five U-S House Republicans who have been issued a subpoena from the committee investigating the January-6th 2021 insurrection at the Capitol. The panel wants to hear from the men including Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, who all spoke with then President Trump at various times before, during and after the violent attack. The committee took the action when the five refused to speak with the panel voluntarily. Perry released a statement that calls the investigation a “political witch hunt.”
