A Lancaster woman has been sentenced from 4-to-9 years in state prison for selling fentanyl that killed a woman last year. Lancaster Online reports that East Lampeter Township police were called to the Budget Host Inn in January of 2021 to find a woman dead in a bathroom. The Coroner’s Office listed the cause of death as acute fentanyl and heroin toxicity. The district attorney’s office used surveillance footage to charged 35-year-old Tasha Vargas. She pleaded guilty to multiple drug-related offenses including a felony charge of drug delivery resulting in death.
