The man charged in the death of a York County native in North Carolina has been extradited back in his home state. Police near Charlotte say 27-year old Amanda Strous, originally of Dallastown, was strangled and then her apartment was set on fire on June-18th. Two days later, her neighbor, 28-year old Mathew Benner was arrested near Las Vegas. He has been charged with first degree murder and arson. Officers have not detailed a motive but they think it could be a case of stalking.
