A York County man is charged with 1st-degree murder in Maryland after his girl friend is strangled to death. York Area Regional Police were called when 30-year old Rebekah Strausbaugh of Red Lion went missing after traveling to Baltimore over the weekend. Officers talked to her live-in boyfriend 48-year old Michael Morant and he told them that he and Strausbaugh were driving home from Charm City on Saturday when they got into an argument. At one point he pulled off of I-83 and the two continued to argue when it turned violent. Officers say Morant allegedly told them she became unresponsive. That’s when he dragged her body into the nearby woods and covered the mother of two with a blanket. Police found Strausbaugh’s body in Sparks, Maryland in Baltimore county. Morant is being held with out bail.
