Two Myerstown teens vandelize vehicles

Pennsylvania State police say two Myerstown teens broke into as many as fifteen vehicles in Myerstown Boro then broke into and stole a grey Ford Expedition, all between 11 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday.

Investigators say the driver, 18-year-old Tristan Artz, with a 15-year-old juvenile passenger did burnouts in front lawns along Hilltop Road and in a cornfield on Woleber Road in Jackson Township.

According to police, Artz then ditched the stolen vehicle in a wooded area in the 1300 block of Hilltop Road, where it was later found by a business owner, who alerted police.

A State Police Trooper had passed though that area of Hilltop Road and remembered seeing both Artz and the juvenile walking along the road, not far from where the vehicle was found.

Officials say troopers located Artz and the juvenile in Myerstown Boro, took them to the state police barracks in Jonestown for questioning and that’s where they both confessed to the crime spree.

According to police, both Artz and the juvenile face multiple charges. Artz is in Lebanon County Prison, while the juvenile was placed in the Lancaster County Youth Intervention and Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
